KINGSTON–Effective Jan. 31, 2018 Kingston Port Commissioner Bruce MacIntyre of the Port of Kingston has resigned his position as Commissioner for District 1.
“Bruce has served the Port and its citizens for four of his six-year term, “ said Port Executive Director Jim Pivarnik. “Bruce’s leadership and knowledge will definitely be missed.”
As guided by State law, the remaining two Commissioners, Mary McClure and Laura Gronnvoll will accept applications in the next 30 days from interested candidates who live in district 1. They will then appoint the successful candidate to serve the citizens of Kingston until the end of the year.
For more information on the District 1 boundaries, visit the Port’s website at https://portofkingston.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/POKdistrict.pdf.
